• 24 Mar 2008 ~ The 2008 Merco Foothill Century Ride has been postponed until later this fall.  A specific date has not been determined, more details soon to come.
  • 17 Mar 2008 ~ We at the MERCO Credit Union Cycling Classic Presented by McLane Pacific are extremely saddened by the untimely loss of our dear friends Matt Peterson and Kristy Gough. Their commitment to their sport and their love of life will be truly missed.

    We are honored by their victorious participation in the Cycling Classic this year in Merced. As a tribute to both of these outstanding athletes we will memorialize them by inscribing their names on our winners’ jerseys in our race next year and in all future races.

  • 04 Mar 2008 ~ Mark your calendars and make plans to participate in the 2008 Merco Foothill Century Ride which will take place on Saturday May 10, 2008.  For more details download the event flyer.
  • 29 Feb 2008 ~ A correction has been made to the Travis Credit Union Foothills Road Race.  It was previously stated in the event description that the race will go in a clockwise direction, the race course will actually be going counterclockwise just like last year.  The correction has been added to the site.  We apologize for any confusion.
  • 27 Feb 2008 ~ Online registration for both the Downtown Grand Prix and the Travis Credit Union Foothills Road Race is now closed.  Day of registration is available for open fields.
  • 12 Feb 2008 ~ A schedule of events has been created to help out with the "what's, where's, & when's" of Saturday's (March 1st) activities.  Get it here Schedule of Community Events.
  • 08 Feb 2008 ~ There are a couple of fields in the Foothills Road Race that are full and a waiting list has been created for those full fields.  To view field sizes and to register visit the online registration pages at SportsBaseOnline.com or click on links below:
  • 11 Jan 2008 ~ In the previous years, the Foothill Century Ride has been held the same day as the Merco Downtown Grand Prix (Saturday).  This year, the Foothill Century ride will take place in Apirl or May, date has not been determined.  It will be put on by the same Merco-McLane Pacific crew as in the past.  We hope the change in dates will bring better weather and greater participation.

  • 03 Jan 2008 ~ The 2008 Merco Cycling Classic presented by McLane Pacific will be a part of the inaugural Highway 99 Series.  The Highway 99 Series is a points series through three consecutive weekends of racing in March.  For more details visit the99series.com.
